A review of the Electronic Transactions Amendment Bill 2011

  • 01 Jun 2011
  • 18:00
  • Gilbert + Tobin

Philip Argy will review the recent changes.

This seminar will review the Electronic Transactions Amendment Act 2011, which amends the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 by creating a number of default rules (such as when and where emails are sent and received) and which allows online transactions to be rescinded if the end user isn’t given an opportunity to correct keying errors before a transaction is executed. This is a must attend event if you want to catch up on an increasingly important piece of legislation that was also the subject of its first judicial consideration in the GetUp case before the last Federal election.
