Dr. Allan Watt

Dr. Allan Watt served both in the New Zealand Army Regular Force and the NZ Police as a sworn Police Officer for a combined period of 18 years, most of his Police service was as an intelligence analyst. On leaving the NZ Police he formed his own business in computer forensics and completed over 800 investigations before moving to Australia in 2008. In Australia he commenced work as the Head of e.forensics, for a Corporate Litigation Support firm and in June 2011, he took a position with the NSW Police Force State Electronic Evidence Branch as an Electronic Evidence Specialist . In 2013, he commenced as the Cyber Program Coordinator/Lecturer at the Centre for Policing, Intelligence and Counter Terrorism, Macquarie University and also formed his own consultancy business, Digital Forensics Pty Ltd. In 2008 he completed a Masters Degree, area of Research was Critical Infrastructure Ready Reaction to Cyber Terrorism. In 2012 Dr Watt completed a PhD with the University of South Australia area of research was Trafficking and Concealment of Child Abuse Material. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and a Certified Forensic Computer Examiner (CFCE).
