Following last year's success, the Future of Law and Innovation in the Profession (FLIP) Conference and Innovation Dinner retur

ns in 2019 to host more than 50 Australian and international leaders in law, innovation and technology.

The one-day program features three concurrent streams so you can mix and match sessions as you please:

  • Be informed by thought leaders as they discuss issues impacting the legal profession including ethics, regulation and capabilities required for the future.
  • Be inspired with practical sessions on leveraging client insights, new business models and technologies, integrating with institutional digitisation and successfully leading through this change process.
  • Be engaged through a range of workshops on automation, building a chat bot and website on a zero budget, and more.

We have just released the highly anticipated agenda for the day and keynote speakers including:

  • Professor Richard Susskind OBE - on How to think about the Future - your mindset
  • Shara Evans - on Emerging Technologies and Innovation: Robots. Drones. AI. 3D Printing
  • Mitch Kowalski - on Lawyering in 2050: Robots in Suits or Just a Slightly Better Version of 2019?

The Hon Michael Kirby will also be adjudicating “The Great Debate” – dealing with impending ubersiation of the profession, and Federal Court of Australia judge The Honourable Melissa Perry will be joining a panel on Reality of AI.

The day will conclude with the Networking Reception and Innovation Dinner where finalists of the #Innovatelaw2019 hackathon will present their solutions to challenges provided by the Supreme Court of NSW and the Law Society of NSW and winners are announced.
